NBR Rubber is suitable for use in wide range of applications due to its resistance to most petroleum based fluids, oils and greases. Nitrile also offers good resistance to abrasion, heat and gas permeability.
However, NBR’s oil resistance depends on the composition of nitrile. The more nitrile within the polymer, the better resistance to oil and fuel but the lower the flexibility of the material.
